after thirty (30) days from the time when said taxes
are due and payable.
232. (580. ) The Mayor and Council of Mt. Airy shall
have and hereby are given express power and authority to
borrow from time to time, if and as needed, for its imme-
diate and authorized corporate purposes, such sum or sums
of money as may be necessary for such purposes, not ex-
ceeding an aggregate amount of six thousand dollars
($6, 000. 00) upon promissory note, notes or other evidences
of debt at a rate of interest not exceeding five per cent.
(5%) per annum, and to pledge the faith and credit of
the town therefor; provided further, that the aforesaid
principal sum or sums herein authorized to be borrowed
shall be repaid out of taxes levied, and/or from the cor-
porate income at such time and from such source or sources
as the said Mayor and Council may determine; provided
further, that each note or other evidence of debt given or
created hereunder shall be repaid within ten (10) years
from the original date thereof.
SECTION 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act is
hereby declared to be an emergency law and necessary for
the immediate preservation of the public health and safety,
and having been passed upon by a yea and nay vote, sup-
ported by three-fifths of all the members elected to each
of the two Houses of the General Assembly, the same shall
take effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 29.
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section
450 of Article 2 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Anne Arundel County, "
sub-title "Sanitary Districts, " as said section was amend-
ed by Chapter 313 of the Acts of 1931, to remove the
provision exempting the First Precinct of the Fifth
Election District of Anne Arundel County from the
operation of the Sanitary District Law of said County.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Section 450 of Article 2 of the Code of
