($2, 400. 00), in monthly installments of Two Hundred Dol-
lars ($200. 00) each, of which amount the sum of One
Hundred Fifty Dollars ($150. 00) per month shall be paid
by the County Commissioners for Wicomico County and
the sum of Fifty Dollars ($50. 00) per month shall be paid
by the Mayor and Council of Salisbury, Maryland, which
said salary shall be in lieu of all fees and costs collected
by said Justice of the Peace in both civil and criminal
cases, and all said fees and costs collected by him shall be
paid to the County Treasurer of Wicomico County.
99. The said "Judge of the People's Court" shall have
the qualifications now or hereafter prescribed by law for
Justices of the Peace for said Wicomico County, and his
jurisdiction in civil and criminal cases shall be as now, or
hereafter, prescribed by law for Justices of the Peace of
said County.
100. There shall be appointed biennially by the Judge
of the People's Court of Wicomico County, a Clerk who shall
keep all dockets of and supervise and manage the office of the
"Judge of the People's Court" of said County and the said
Clerk shall perform such other duties as may be properly
assigned to him by the said Judge and he shall receive
an annual salary of Twelve Hundred Dollars ($1, 200. 00),
payable in twelve monthly installments by the County Com-
missioners of said County; provided, however, that the
Clerk appointed on or before May 1, 1936, shall hold office
until the first Monday in May, 1937, and the Clerks there-
after appointed shall hold office for a period of two years,
or until their successors are appointed and qualified.
101. The said Clerk shall collect and account to the
County Commissioners of Wicomico County for all costs
and fees assessed by the said "Judge of the People's Court"
and on the first of each month remit all such fees and
costs collected during the preceding month to the said
County Commissioners or to any other person or authority
to whom the same may be legally payable. The said Clerk
shall likewise collect and account for all fines imposed by
the said "Judge of the People's Court" and shall, on the
first of each month, pay the same over to the said County
Commissioners, unless the law prescribing the penalty spe-
cifically provides otherwise, in which cases the fines shall
be paid over to the proper legal authorities as required by
the particular law involved.
