questions, then it shall be the duty of said Board of Election
Supervisors to allow such applicant to cast his or her ballot,
and should the answer of the applicant be in the negative
to either of the above questions, then and in that event
he or she shall not be allowed to vote. Should the applicant
answer either of the above questions falsely, he or she shall
be guilty of the crime of perjury and subject to the penal-
ties provided by the law of the State of Maryland.

SEC. 30. And be it further enacted, That Harry D. Eis-
enhauer is hereby appointed Clerk of the Town of Univer-
sity Park for the purpose of providing a polling place, pre-
paring ballots and attending such other duties as shall be
necessary to conduct the election provided for in Section
28 of this Act, and in the event that this Charter is adopted
at the election held on the 29th day of June, 1936, pro-
vided for in Section 28 of this Act, then and in that event
the said Harry D. Eisenhauer shall continue to act in the
capacity above designated at the succeeding election held
for the purpose of electing the officers of said town and
the said Harry D. Eisenhauer shall continue to act in the
capacity above designated at the succeeding election held
for the purpose of electing the officers of said town and the
said Harry D. Eisenhauer shall continue to act as Town
Clerk until his successor shall have been duly appointed
and_ qualified. Provided, further, that in the event of the
death, resignation, or refusal to act of one or more of the
hereinbefore provided judges and clerk of election, then in
that event it shall be the duty of George C. Cook to desig-
nate others to fill such vacancy or vacancies.

SEC. 31. And be it further enacted, That if the majority
of qualified voters shall vote "For Incorporation" as pro-
vided for in Section 28 of this Act, then, and in that event,
the said Albert W. Brown and Archie B. Hooton, or their
successors, shall hold the first general election for Mayor,
Treasurer and Common Councilmen on the 27th day of
July, 1936, as provided by Sections 5, 10 and 13 of this Act.

SEC. 32. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect on the first day of June, 1936.
