Said deed shall be executed by the Governor of the State
of Maryland for and on behalf of the State of Maryland,
attested by the Secretary of State of the State of Mary-
land, and the Secretary of State of the State of Maryland
shall attach the Great Seal of the State of Maryland
thereto.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect on June 1, 1936.

CHAPTER 65.

AN ACT to authorize and direct the Mayor and Common
Council of Riverdale, in Prince George's County, Mary-
land, to improve the roadways, gutters, curbs and side-
walks on Lafayette Avenue between Madison Avenue and
Jefferson Avenue and on Maryland Avenue between
Lincoln and Washington Avenues in said town; to bor-
row money on the faith and credit of said Mayor and
Common Council of Riverdale for the purpose of paying
for the improvements of said roadways and sidewalks;
to issue bonds or other evidences of indebtedness there-
for to pay for said improvements and to fix the terms and
conditions for borrowing moneys for such purpose; to
advertise for bids and let contracts for said improve-
ment; to provide for the repayment of moneys so bor-
rowed or raised by bonds; to provide for the levying and
collecting of assessments against the abutting property
owners on said Lafayette Avenue between Madison and
Jefferson Avenues and on Maryland Avenue between
Lincoln Avenue and Washington Avenue; to create liens
against abutting land and to provide for the enforcement
of said liens.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
of Maryland in Special Session assembled, That the Mayor
and Common Council of Riverdale, in Prince George's
County, Maryland, be and they hereby are directed to
construct roadways, gutters, curbs and sidewalks on La-
fayette Avenue from its intersection with Madison Ave-
nue to its intersection with Jefferson Avenue and on Mary-
land Avenue from the north side of Lincoln Avenue to the
