CHAPTER 15.
(House Bill No. 16)

AN ACT to repeal Chapter 55 of the Acts of the General
Assembly of Maryland of 1943.

WHEREAS, Chapter 55 of the Acts of the General Assembly
of Maryland of 1943 repealed Sections 74 to 82, both inclusive,
of Article 89B of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1939
Edition), title "State Roads", sub-title "Bear Creek Bridge";
and

WHEREAS, it was erroneously recited in said Chapter 55 of
the Acts of 1943 that the said Sections 74 to 82 of Article 89B
"have never been availed of and are no longer necessary"; and

WHEREAS, the said Bear Creek Bridge referred to in said
Sections 74 to 82 of Article 89B was constructed, and was put
in use in 1931, since has been continuously used and operated,
is now being used and operated and serves an important indus-
trial section of Baltimore County known as Sparrows Point;
therefore

SECTION 1. Be it enacted 'by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Chapter 55 of the Acts of the General Assembly of
Maryland of 1943 be and it is hereby repealed.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That said Sections 74 to
82, both inclusive, of Article 89B of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1939 Edition) shall be deemed to have been in
effect since the enactment thereof as fully and to the same
extent in all respects as if the said Chapter 55 of the Acts of
the General Assembly of Maryland of 1943 had not been
enacted.

SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act is hereby
declared to be an emergency law and necessary for the imme-
diate preservation of the public health and safety and having
been passed by a yea and nay vote, supported by three-fifths
of all the members elected to the two Houses of the General
Assembly, the same shall take effect from the date of its
passage.
