11. That the County Commissioners of Montgomery Coun-
ty shall have full authority and supervision of any and all
members of said police force, and shall pass such orders and
regulations governing their actions as members of said force,
as they shall in their discretion from time to time deem neces-
sary.

SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1929.

CHAPTER 308.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendment Section 488
of Article 27 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1924
Edition), title "Crimes and Punishments, " sub-title "Tele-
graphs—Injury to, " so as to make it a misdemeanor to in-
jure or destroy any lines, posts or abutments of any tele-
phone lines, and to prescribe penalties therefor.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland,
That Section 488 of Article 27 of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1924 Edition), title "Crimes and Punish-
ments, " sub-title "Telegraphs—Injury to, " be and the same
is hereby repealed and re-enacted to read as follows:

488. Any person who shall unlawfully and intentionally
injure, molest or destroy any of the lines, posts, piers or abut-
ments, or the materials or property connected with the work-
ing of any telegraph or telephone lines, shall on conviction
thereof be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor, and be punished
by a fine not exceeding five hundred dollars, or by imprison-
ment in the county or city jail not exceeding one year, or both,
at the discretion of the court before which the conviction shall
be had.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1929.
