be known as District Number Thirty-three (33); providing
for the employment of a competent surveyor to map, plat,
reduce to courses and distances the new district established
under this Act; providing for compensation of said sur-
veyor, and also providing for the payment of all necessary
expenses incurred in order to establish said new district; and
repealing all Acts or parts of Acts inconsistent with the
terms and provisions of this Act.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That it shall be the duty of the Board of Super-
visors of Elections of Allegany County, Maryland, and they
are hereby authorized, directed and empowered, to cause a
survey to be begun in the month of June, Nineteen Hundred
and Twenty-nine (1929) for the purpose of establishing a new
Election District in Allegany County, Maryland, from portions
of Districts Numbers One and Two in said county; changing
such lines and the boundaries thereof as may be deemed ex-
pedient; after said Board of Supervisors of Elections shall
cause said survey to be made and determine upon the lines
and boundaries of said new Election District, it is hereby
authorized, directed, and empowered to employ a competent
surveyor who shall, under its direction, map, plat, and re-
duce the courses and distances said new District; said survey
shall be completed on or before September 1st, 1929; and when
so completed, it shall be filed in the office of the Clerk of the
Circuit Court for Allegany County, Maryland, and be re-
corded among the Land Records thereof, as "Boundary Lines
of Election District Number Thirty-three in Allegany County,
Maryland, 1929, " and when so filed it shall become the official
record of said new Election District.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That the County Com-
missioners for Allegany County, Maryland, are hereby di-
rected to pay the expense of said survey, including the sur-
veyor and his employees; the cost of preparing said survey;
the expense incident to the transfer of the names of the voters
who reside within the new District to new and additional rec-
ords of registration and such other necessary expense as may
be incurred in order to carry out the terms and provisions of
this Act; the itemized statement of which shall be forthwith
rendered to said Board of County Commissioners under oath
by the members of said Board of Supervisors of Elections set-
ting forth in detail each item of expense, upon which said state-
