merit, said County Commissioners shall make payment from
the Treasury of Allegany County, Maryland.
SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That all Acts or parts
of Acts inconsistent with the provisions of this Act are hereby
repealed, Public General and Public Local Law, not with-
standing.
SEC. 4. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect from the first day of June, 1929.

CHAPTER 285.
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments Section 194
of Article 2 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland
(Melvin's 1914 Edition of said Article), title "Anne Arun-
del County, " sub-title "Eastport, " as amended by Chapter
640 of the Acts of the General Assembly of Maryland 1927,
increasing the road tax in the town of Eastport, and em-
powering the County Commissioners of said county to pay
to the Anne Arundel County Sanitary Commission an
amount of money not exceeding ten cents on the one hun-
dred dollars from said road tax.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Section 194 of Article 2 of the Code of Public
Local Laws of Maryland (Melvin's Edition of 1914), title
"Anne Arundel County, " sub-title "Eastport, " be and it is
hereby repealed and re-enacted with amendments to read as
follows:
194. The County Commissioners of Anne Arundel County
shall, at their regular meeting in May, nineteen hundred and
eight, or as soon thereafter as possible, and biennially there-
after, appoint five persons, who shall be registered voters and
taxpayers residing within the said town. The said Commis-
sioners shall hold their office for a period of two years and
until their successors shall be appointed. They shall, within
ten days after their appointment, qualify by taking the oath
prescribed by Section 6 of Article 1 of the Constitution of the
