quiring all owners of boats to secure a license therefor; de-
scribing the manner in which said licenses are to be issued,
cost and manner of collection thereof; requiring registration
of boats and manner in which same may be operated on said
Lake; providing for the policing of said area and describing
penalties for violation of the provisions of this Act.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland,
That Sections 2, 3, 5, 10, 11, 12 and 13 of Chapter
532 of the Acts of the General Assembly of 1927 be and the
same are hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to
read as follows:

2. It shall be unlawful for any person except the resi-
dents of Garrett County, or any person or persons owning land
within one-fourth of a mile from the high water mark of
said Deep Creek Lake, to fish upon the waters referred to in
Section 1 of this Act without first obtaining from the Clerk of
the Circuit Court of Garrett County an annual license so to
do, and paying therefor in the case of non-residents of the State
the sum of five dollars ($5), in the case of residents of the State
who are non-residents of Garrett County the sum of two dollars
and fifty cents ($2. 50), together with a fee of twenty-five cents
(25c) for each license to the Clerk for issuance of same. The
Clerk of the Court shall on receipt of the proper fees issue a li-
cense and tag, to be supplied by the Conservation Department
and said license shall bear the signature of the Conservation
Commissioner and shall be countersigned by the Clerk who is-
sues same, who shall at the same time fill out a stub attached to
the license blank showing the name and post office address of the
licensee, and shall then detach said stub and mail same to the
Conservation Department the first day of each and every
month in each year. Said license shall specify in addition to
the licensee's name and post office address the number of
license, date of opening and closing of season, and the creel
limit in the area referred to in Section 1 of this Act. Such
license shall be void on the first day of January of each year
following date of issue. Every licensee, while fishing in the
area herein prescribed shall have upon his person the license
referred to above and shall also display in a conspicuous man-
ner upon his person a tag or button furnished by the Clerk at
time of issuance of license. The license must be produced for
the inspection of the game wardens, deputy game wardens,
sheriffs, constables or other officers or persons demanding to see
