Acts of 1924, and to enact in lieu thereof a new Charter
for the town of Federalsburg, in Caroline County, and to
create therein a governing body by the name and style of
"Mayor and Council of Federalsburg. "

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland,
That Chapter 149 of the Acts of 1902 entitled "An
Act to repeal Article 6, Sections 116- to 134, inclusive, of the
Code of Public Local Laws, title 'Caroline County, ' sub-title
'Federalsburg, '" and also Chapter 293 of the Acts of 1894;
Chapter 298 of the Acts of 1904; Chapter 198 of the Acts of
1910; Chapter 555 of the Acts of 1912; Chapter 30 of the Acts
of 1917; Chapter 37 of the Acts of 1918; Chapter 286 of the
Acts of 1922 and Chapter 167 of the Acts of 1924, be and the
same are hereby repealed, and that a new Charter for the town
of Federalsburg, in Caroline County, be and the same is
hereby enacted, to read as follows:

Section 1. That the inhabitants of the town of Federals-
burg, in Caroline County, Maryland, are hereby constituted a
body corporate under the name and title of the "Mayor and
Council of Federalsburg, " and by that name shall have per-
petual succession, sue and be sued, have and use a common seal
which may be altered at pleasure, and shall have all of the
powers incident to or that may attach to a municipal corpora-
tion, and shall have and possess all the rights, powers, property
and duties vested in and devolving upon the Commissioners
of Federalsburg, except as the same may be changed by this
Act.

Section 2. That the limits of said town shall include all
the land and territory contained and embraced within the fol-
lowing metes and bounds, courses and distances, to wit:

Beginning in the centre of the bridge across northwest fork
of Nanticoke River; thence south eighty-two and one-half
degrees West one hundred and sixty perches to a cement
marker; thence north seven and one-half degrees West one
hundred and sixty perches to a cement marker; thence north
eighty-two and one-half degrees East three hundred and twen-
ty perches to a cement marker; thence south seven and one-half
degrees East three hundred and twenty perches to a cement
marker; thence south eighty-two and one-half degrees West
three hundred and twenty perches to a cement marker; thence
north seven and one-half degrees West one hundred and sixty
