NO. 7.
A Joint Resolution requesting the Governor to appoint a com-
mission to confer with similar commissions already appointed
in the State of Virginia and the District of Columbia for the
purpose of promoting uniform legislation with respect to
motor vehicle laws and traffic regulations in the States of
Maryland and Virginia and the District of Columbia and
to make recommendations to the General Assembly of 1931.
WHEREAS, in the opinion of the General Assembly of Mary-
land, it is desirable to promote uniformity in laws relating to
motor vehicle and traffic regulations in the States of Maryland
and Virginia and the District of Columbia; and
WHEREAS, commissions have been appointed in the States
of Virginia and the District of Columbia for the purpose of
advising such changes in the existing laws as will bring about
such uniformity; therefore be it
Resolved by the General Assembly of Maryland, That the
Governor be and he is hereby requested to appoint a commis-
sion of such number as he shall see fit to confer with the com-
missions already appointed in the State of Virginia and Dis-
trict of Columbia for the purpose of recommending such uni-
form legislation and to report its recommendations to the Gen-
eral Assembly of 1931.

A Joint Resolution authorizing and requesting the Governor
of Maryland to appoint a Commission to examine the laws
of the State relating to elections and to recommend to the
Governor and the General Assembly such revision thereof
as may be deemed desirable.
WHEREAS, Article 33 of the Annotated Code of 1924, title
"Elections, " contains many provisions which are complicated,
burdensome and serve no useful purpose, and
