The above levies making an aggregate levy for State taxes of
twenty-five cents (25. 00) for the year nineteen hundred and
thirty (1980), and of twenty-five cents (25. 00) for the year
nineteen hundred and thirty-one (1931) on each one hundred
dollars ($100) of assessable property.

And there shall be duly levied, in accordance with law, the
same State taxes on the shares of the capital stock of all banks,
State and National, and other incorporated institutions and
companies of this State, the shares of whose capital stock are
liable to assessment and taxation.

CHAPTER 577.

AN ACT to authorize the Claiborne-Annapolis Ferry Company
to construct a canal across Kent Island; to authorize the
County Commissioners of Queen Anne's County to grant
permission to said company to construct such canal across
public roads; and to authorize the County Commissioners to
construct a bridge or maintain a ferry service in substitution
for that part of any public road crossed by the canal.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland,
That the Claiborne-Annapolis Ferry Company, a
Maryland corporation, its successors and assigns, is hereby au-
thorized and empowered to dig, construct and maintain a canal
across Kent Island, in Queen Anne's County, from Eastern Bay
to Chesapeake Bay.
