SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect from and after June 1, 1929.

CHAPTER 537.

AN ACT to fix the pay of the Crier and Bailiffs of the Cir-
cuit Court for Worcester County, Maryland.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the pay of the Crier and Bailiffs of the Cir-
cuit Court for Worcester County shall be three dollars a day
payable by the County Commissioners of Worcester County
upon presentation of the certificate of the Clerk of said Court
setting out the respective attendance and service of the said
Crier and Bailiffs, and the County Commissioners of Wor-
cester County are required to levy in advance each year a
sum of money sufficient to pay said Crier and Bailiffs for such
attendance and service.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted as aforesaid, That all
Acts or parts of Acts in conflict herewith be and they are
hereby repealed.

SEC. 3. And be it further enacted as aforesaid, That this
Act shall take effect from June 1st, 1929.

AN ACT to add three new sections to Article 22 of the Code
of Public Local Laws of Maryland, title "Washington
County, " sub-title "Williamsport, " as amended by Chapter
17 of the Acts of 1904, to follow immediately after Section
423 of said Article, and to be known as Sections 423A, 423B
and 423C, the same prohibiting the Burgess, Assistant Burgess,
