SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That The Commissioners of St. Michaels, be and
they are hereby authorized and empowered to execute a lease
to The Miles River Yacht Club of Talbot County, Incorpo-
rated, a corporation of the State of Maryland, of a certain lot
of low land and marsh land called and known as "Muskrat
Park, " situated at the head of Church Cove in said Town
of St. Michaels and binding on Church Street in said town,
and which was conveyed to The Commissioners of St. Michaels
by James Benson, et uxor, by deed dated the 19th day of
January A. D., 1888, and recorded among the Land Record
books of Talbot County in Liber No. 107, folio No. 331, to-
gether with all accretions attached thereto and with all im-
provements thereon and the rights and appurtenances thereto
belonging or appertaining, for the purposes and uses of the
said Miles River Yacht Club of Talbot County, Incorporated.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this is hereby
declared to be an emergency law and necessary for the imme-
diate preservation of public health and safety, and being
passed by a yea and nay vote, supported by three-fifths of all
the members elected to each of the two Houses of the General
Assembly, the same shall take effect from the date of its.
passage.

CHAPTER 536.
AN ACT to authorize and empower the Mayor and City Council
of Baltimore to reduce the tax on gross receipts of passenger
railway companies.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the Mayor and City Council of Baltimore is hereby
authorized and empowered to reduce, by ordinance, from time
to time, the tax on the gross receipts of passenger street rail-
way companies, which tax is now imposed under the provisions
of Chapter 229 of the Acts of the General Assembly of 1882;
provided that said reduction or reductions shall not impair the
right of the Mayor and City Council of Baltimore to collect
so much of said tax as may be necessary to meet its obligations
under the provisions of Chapter 338 of the Acts of the Gen-
