cants. The Mayor and Aldermen of Frederick is hereby au-
thorized and empowered to pass all ordinances necessary to
carry out the provisions of this Act, and to grant permits or
licenses for the erection of all such tanks hereafter constructed
and for the maintenance of all such tanks heretofore erected;
provided, however, that the Mayor and Aldermen of Frederick
may provide by ordinance for the removal of all such tanks
and pumps from the sidewalks of the city, whenever in its
judgment it shall think proper to remove the same.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act is hereby
declared to be an emergency law and necessary for the immedi-
ate preservation of the public health and safety, and being
passed upon a yea and nay vote supported by three-fifths of
all of the members elected to each of the two Houses of the
General Assembly, the same shall take effect from the date
of its passage.

CHAPTER 446.

AN ACT to amend the Charter and to confirm and enlarge the
powers and authority of Saint Mary's Industrial School for
Boys of the City of Baltimore by repealing and re-enacting
with amendments Section 2 of Chapter 402 of the Acts of
the General Assembly of Maryland of 1867, as amended by
Section 1 of Chapter 35 of the Acts of the General Assembly
of Maryland of 1908; said amendments removing the limita-
tion on the amount of property which may be held by said
School.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land,
That Section 2 of Chapter 402 of the Acts of the General
Assembly of Maryland of 1867, as amended by Section 1 of
Chapter 35 of the Acts of the General Assembly of Maryland
of 1908, be and the same is hereby repealed and re-enacted with
amendments so as to read as follows:

2, The said corporation is authorized and empowered to re-
ceive and hold in fee simple and otherwise, property real, per-
sonal or mixed, without limitation as to the amount thereof.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1929.
