CHAPTER 447.
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 2
of Chapter 36 of the Acts of the General Assembly of Mary-
land of 1900, to enlarge and confirm the powers and authority
Mt. St. Joseph's College of Baltimore County.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 2 of Chapter 36 of the Acts of the General
Assembly of Maryland of 1900 be, and the same is hereby re-
pealed and re-enacted, with amendments, so as to read as
follows:
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That said corporation may con-
struct all necessary buildings in addition to the buildings it
now owns and possesses, and hold and in every legal manner use
and enjoy said buildings, and all lands, tenements, heredita-
ments, money, goods, chattels and choses in action which it al-
ready owns and possesses, or which is may acquire or receive
hereafter by gift, donation, devise, subscription, contract or pur-
chase, and the said corporation may sell, exchange and convey
such of its estates as to it may be deemed best.

CHAPTER 448.
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments Section 379
of Article 23 of Bagby's Annotated Code of the Public
General Laws of Maryland, 1924 Edition, title "Corpo-
rations, " sub-title "Public Service Commission. "
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Section 379 of Article 23 of Bagby's Anno-
tated Code of Public General Laws of Maryland, 1924 Edi-
tion, entitled "Corporations, " sub-title "Public Service Com-
mission, " be and the same is hereby repealed and re-enacted
with amendments so as to read as follows:
379. No common carrier, railroad corporation, or street
railroad corporation, shall begin the construction of a rail-
road or street railroad, or any extension thereof, or exercise
any franchise or right under any provision of the railroad
law, or of any other law not heretofore lawfully exercised,
