SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That for the purpose
of redeeming said bonds at maturity, and for the purpose of
securing prompt payment of the interest thereon, the Com-
missioners of Greensboro shall levy annually upon the assess-
able property of the town, such sums as may be necessary to
pay interest on said bonds semi-annually, and to redeem one
thousand ($1, 000) dollars of said bonds annually, beginning
July 1, 1932, as aforesaid.
SEC. 4. And be it further enacted, That all provisions of
the Charter of Greensboro contrary to the intent and purpose
of this Act are hereby repealed for the purpose of this Act,
and in so far as they are inconsistent herewith.
SEC. 5. And be it further enacted, That this Act is hereby
declared to be an emergency law and necessary for the imme-
diate preservation of the public health, and being passed upon
a yea and nay vote supported by three-fifths of all members
elected to each of the two houses of the General Assembly,
the same shall take effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 54.
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with Amendments Sections 227,
228, 229, 231 and 235 of Article 20 of the Code of Public
Local Laws of Maryland (1888 Edition), title "Somerset
County, " sub-title "Roads, " as said sections were amended
by Chapiter 315 of the Acts of 1924, relating to the levying of
taxes for roads and the appointment and duties of the County
Road Superintendent.
