26. Any person knowingly and wilfully procuring, or at-
tempting to procure any allowance or relief, by false testi-
mony or representation, for herself or for a person not entitled
thereto, shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and on con-
viction thereof, shall be punished by a fine of not less than
fifty dollars ($50) and not more than two hundred and fifty
dollars ($250) or by imprisonment in the County Jail of the
county wherein the offense occurs or the City Jail of Baltimore
City, for a period of not more than six months or by fine and
imprisonment, in the discretion of the Court,
27. Nothing in this sub-title shall be construed to affect
or interfere with the provisions of the laws of Maryland as now
existing relating to the jurisdiction of the Supreme Bench of
Baltimore City, the Circuit Courts of the State of Mary-
land, or the Juvenile Court of Baltimore City, in regard to the
custody and control of infants.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1929.

CHAPTER 402.
AN ACT to repeal Sections 11, 45, 56 and 81 of Article 41 of
the Annotated Code of Maryland (1924 Edition), title
"Governor—Executive and Administrative Departments, "
sub-titles "General Provisions, " "State Manual, " "Parole
Commissioner, " and "State Librarian"; Section 11 relating
to appropriations in the 1922 Budget Bill in case of Reor-
ganization of the several State Departments, and the other
sections relating, respectively, to appropriations to the Sec-
retary of State, Parole Commissioner and State Librarian.
WHEREAS, since the adoption of the Budget Amendment, sec-
tions of the Code providing for specific appropriations to the
several departments are useless and superfluous; therefore
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Sections 11, 45, 56 and 81 of Article 41 of
the Annotated Code of Maryland (1924 Edition), title "Gov-
