their successors are elected; and the other one-third of said
total number of directors shall hold office until the annual
meeting of the members of said Society of the year one thou-
sand nine hundred and thirty-three, or until their successors
are elected. The said directors so elected at the said annual
meeting of the members of said Society next following the
passage of this Act, shall, before the next annual meeting of
the Society decide which of their number shall serve for the
said respective terms of one, two and three years, and at the
annual meeting of the members of said Society to be held in
the year one thousand nine hundred and thirty-one, and at
each annual meeting thereafter, the members of said Society
entitled to vote shall elect one-third of the total number of
the directors who shall constitute such Board of Directors, as
ascertained and determined as aforesaid, by the Board of Di-
rectors, under the power and authority vested in them by this
Act, to serve as directors of the Society for the term of three
years or until their successors are elected. The annual meet-
ings of said Society and the election of directors at said meet-
ings, shall be held at the headquarters of said Society in
Baltimore City, and public notice of the same shall be
given by advertisement thereof to be published in two daily
newspapers of Baltimore City by any three members of the
Society, who shall sign their names to said public advertise-
ment, not less than five days prior to the date of any of said
elections. Said elections shall be by ballot and the right to
vote for directors at said elections shall be limited to members
of said Society present in person or by proxy, and shall be
held and conducted in accordance with the lawful By-Laws
of said Society. The amendments to the Certificate of Incor-
poration of said Society herein provided shall be deemed to
be accepted by and for said Society upon the filing with or
in the office of the Secretary of State of Maryland by any
twenty members of said Society of a certificate signed by them
to the effect that they have accepted for themselves as mem-
bers of said Society, the amendments to said Certificate of
Incorporation of said Society herein provided for. The di-
rectors elected at each annual meeting of the members of the
Society hereinabove referred to shall forthwith or as soon
as may be practicable after their election proceed to elect the
President, Secretary, Treasurer and other officers (other than
directors) of said Society to serve for one year after their
election or until their successors are elected.
