SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland,
That Section 25 of Article 53 of the Annotated Code
of Maryland (1924 Edition), title "Landlord and Tenant, "
sub-title "Distress for Rent, " be and it is hereby repealed.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1929,

CHAPTER 362.

AN ACT to add a new section to Article 43 of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1924 Edition), title "Health, " sub-
title "Plumbing, " said new section to be known as Section
289A and to follow immediately after Section 289 of said
Article, to exempt Montgomery and Prince George's Coun-
ties from the provisions of the said sub-title, and conferring
certain powers upon the Washington Suburban Sanitary
Commission relating to plumbing in said counties.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland,
That a new section be and it is hereby added to
Article 43 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1924 Edition),
title "Health, " sub-title "Plumbing, " said new section to be
known as Section 289A, to follow immediately after Section,,
289 of said Article, and to read as follows:

289A. The provisions of this sub-title shall not apply to
Montgomery and Prince George's Counties except as herein-
after provided. In Montgomery and Prince George's Counties,
the Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission shall have
the sole power to grant certificates to persons, desiring to work
at the plumbing business in said counties, provided that the
fees to be charged for said certificates shall not exceed the
fees as fixed in this sub-title. The said Commission shall
have the power to make such rules, and regulations as to the
installation of plumbing in said counties as it may deem neces-
sary for the public health, and shall have and exercise within
