Stenographers in Solicitor's offices to be the same as allowed
by the Court to the Public Stenographer for taking and tran-
scribing testimony in Equity Causes; and it shall be the duty
of said Stenographer to furnish upon request of any party to
any proceeding, copies of the evidence taken in any case either
at law or in Equity as well as copies of the Courts opinions in
Equity cases upon payment by the party or parties ordering the
same the usual rates for the same, said rates to be fixed by the
order of the Court, The County Commissioners of Anne

Arundel County are hereby directed to levy annually the sum
of Twelve Hundred Dollars ($1, 200) for the payment of such
salary as may be fixed by the Court as the salary of said Ste-
nographer as also for such per diem as may be allowed by the
Court to a Clerk and Stenographer to the Grand Jury, when by
reason of the Court Stenographer being engaged in taking
testimony at the trial of cases in the Circuit Court said Stenog-
rapher cannot be present to take testimony before the Grand
Jury. The County Commissioners shall pay said Court Ste-
nographer out of said Twelve Hundred Dollars ($1, 200) so
levied, the monthly salary fixed by the Court; as well as the per
diem of the Clerk and Stenographer to the Grand Jury when
one has been employed by the Court, but the Stenographic
work in said Court to be levied by the County Commissioners,
shall not in any one year exceed Twelve Hundred Dollars
($1, 200).

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That all Acts or parts
of Acts inconsistent with the provisions of this Act be, and
the same are hereby repealed.

SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect from the first day of June, Nineteen Hundred and
twenty-seven (1927).

Two (2), Three (3), Five (5), Eight (8), Nine (9), Eleven
(11), Thirteen (13) and Seventeen (17) of Chapter 122
of the Acts of 1918, as the same were amended by Chapter
518 of the Acts of 1920 and by Chapters 469 and 189 of
