CHAPTER 55.

AN ACT to add a new section to Article 13 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland, title "Harford County, "
sub-title "Clerk of the Circuit Court, " as codified by Chap-
ter 680 of the Acts of the General Assembly of Maryland of
1916, providing for the closing of the Clerk's Office of said
County at one o'clock P. M. on Saturdays.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That a new section be added to be known as Sec-
tion 188-A, and to follow Section 188 of Chapter 680 of the
Acts of the General Assembly of Maryland for the year 1916,
to read as follows: It shall be lawful to close the Clerk's office
of said Court at the hour of one P. M. on Saturday of each
week; provided either judge of the Circuit Court of said
County may order and direct at any time the said office to be
kept open, and the said Clerk or such deputies to remain for
such a time as said Judge may deem necessary to the con-
venience of the Court.

Approved March 11, 1927.

CHAPTER 56.

AN ACT to authorize and direct the Police Commissioner
of Baltimore City to pay a pension to Otto A. Pfaff, a: former
member of the Police Department of said city.

CHAPTER 57.

AN ACT to authorize and direct the Police Commissioner
of Baltimore City to pay a pension to George Winters, a
former member of the Police Department of said City.

(Vetoed. )
