CHAPTER 402.
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments Section 267
of Article 81 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1924
Edition), title "Revenue and Taxes, " sub-title "State Tax
Commission, " fixing compensation to be paid County Com-
missioners of Prince George's County for services rendered
in assessment of property.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Section 267 of Article 81 of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1924 Edition), title "Revenue and Taxes, "
sub-title "State Tax Commission" be, and the same is hereby
repealed and re-enacted with amendments to read as follows:
267. Each County Commissioner of a County having three
Commissioners shall receive five dollars ($5) per day for
actual services rendered in connection with the reassessment
of property in their County, and the County Commissioners
of the Counties having more than three Commissioners shall
each receive three dollars ($3) a day for actual services ren-
dered in the assessment of property in their 'County, except
in Prince George's County, wherein each of the five County
Commissioners shall receive five dollars ($5) per day for
actual services rendered in the assessment of property in
Prince George's County, but the State Tax Commission is
given the authority to decide how much time is necessary to do
this work, and if the Commissioners of any County have not
completed their work within that time, then in that event the
necessary time to complete it must be done without compensa-
tion. The County Commissioners of the several Counties in
connection with the reassessment of the property in their re-
spective Counties, shall have the right to appoint a Clerk in
addition to the regular Clerk to the Board, who shall receive
for each day of actual service the sum of three dollars ($3)
per day. The Counsel to the County Commissioners in their
respective County shall be counsel to the said Commissioners
in regard to the re-assessment of property in their respective
County, and shall be entitled to a fair and reasonable compen-
sation for services rendered to said County Commissioners, in
addition to the salary as counsel to said County Commission-
ers; all of which compensation for the County Assessors,
County Commissioners acting in regard to the reassessment
of property in their respective County, their Clerk and Coun-
