make; provided, that any person deeming himself aggrieved
by any such refusal by the Commissioner to grant any such
license as aforesaid, shall have the right to appeal to the Supe-
rior Court of Baltimore City for a writ of mandamus to com-
pel the issuance of such license in any proper case where the
same has been wrongfully and improperly withheld.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect on June 1st, 1927.

CHAPTER 401.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments Section
180-A of Article 17 of the Public Local Laws of Maryland,
title "Prince George's County, " sub-title "County Commis-
sioners, " as said section was enacted by Chapter 601 of the
Acts of 1920, increasing the salary of the Deputy Clerk of
the County Commissioners of said County.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Section 180-A of Article 17 of the Public
Local Laws of Maryland, title "Prince George's County, " sub-
title "County Commissioners, " as said section was enacted by
Chapter 601 of the Acts of 1920, be and the same is hereby
repealed and re-enacted with amendments to read as follows:

180-A. They may annually appoint a Deputy Clerk to as-
sist the Clerk to the County Commissioners, who before enter-
ing upon the duties of his office shall take oath and give bond
in the same manner and form as required by law of the Clerk,
and who, in the absence of the Clerk shall act in his place and
stead, and be vested with his authority, and the Deputy Clerk
shall receive a salary of not more than twelve hundred dollars
($1200. 00) per annum; but nothing in this Act shall prevent
the appointment of same individual as County Road Clerk
at the salary now fixed by law for said Road Clerk, and the
total salary so received as a Deputy Clerk and Clerk to said
Road Board shall not exceed eighteen hundred dollars
($1, 800. 00) per annum.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1. 1927.
