CHAPTER 296.
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section
219, of Chapter 680 and all of Chapter 711, of the Acts
of 1916, titled "Harford County, " sub-titled "Crier" and
"Bailiffs. "
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Section 219 of Chapter 680, of the Acts of
1916, titled "Harford County, " sub-titled "Crier, " be and
the same is hereby repealed and re-enacted with amendments
to read as follows:
Section 219. The Crier of the Circuit Court shall be al-
lowed the sum of Seven Hundred and Fifty Dollars, ($750)
per annum, payable in equal monthly installments, and the
same shall be levied and paid in the same manner and upon
the same evidence as the allowance to Bailiffs, and the said
allowance shall be in lieu of his fees, and shall be the entire
compensation for his duties.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That Chapter 711, of
the Acts of 1916, titled "Harford County, " sub-titled "Bail-
iffs, " be and the same is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with
amendments, to read as follows:
Section 1. That the Bailiff to the grand jury of the Cir-
cuit Court for Harford County, shall receive the sum of
Thirty Dollars, ($30) for each term of said Court which he
attends, and to which a jury is summoned, and the other
bailiffs of said Court shall each receive the sum of Six
Hundred Dollars, ($600) per annum, payable in equal month-
ly installments; the above compensation to be in lieu of the
compensation provided for in Section 11, of Article 36, of
Bagby's Annotated Code of Public General Laws of Mary-
land, titled "Fees of Officers, " sub-titled "Bailiffs. "
SEC. 3. And be it further enacted. That this Act shall
take effect the first day of June, 1927.
