owner shall reside, for a license for each such dog owned or
kept, and such application shall be accompanied by a fee of One
Dollar ($1. 00) for each, male dog or each spayed female dog,
and a fee of Two Dollars ($2. 00) for each unspayed dog, and
provided that a kennel license shall be issued for Ten Dollars
(i$10. 00) to persons owning or keeping not in excess of twenty-
five dogs and that a kennel license shall be issued for Twenty
Dollars ($20. 00) to persons keeping more than twenty-five dogs.
The said license or fee shall be the only license or tax required
for the ownership or keeping of said dog or dogs. Such license
shall be issued on a form prepared and supplied by the County
Commissioners, shall be dated and numbered and shall contain
a description of the dog licenses, and all licenses shall be void
upon the first day of July of the following year. The County
Commissioners shall also furnish and the Dog Constable for
the said District issuing the license, shall issue, with each license,
a metal tag. Such tag shall be fixed to a substantial collar to be
furnished by the owner, and with the tag attached shall at all
times be kept on the dog for which the license is issued, except
when confined in the kennel or when hunting in charge of an
attendant. The County Commissioners of Kent County shall
on or before the 15th day of June, 1927, and on or before the
15th day of June in each year thereafter, appoint some reliable
person a Dog Constable for and in each of the several Election
Districts of Kent County and each Dog Constable appointed by
the County Commissioners shall enroll all dogs, and their own-
ers or keepers, in their respective Districts, and report the same
to the County Commissioners on or before July 15th. of each
year. Whenever the Dog Constable shall find a dog without an
owner or keeper, it shall be his duty to kill said dog in the pres-
ence of one witness, for which lie is to receive fifty cents from
The County Commissioners for each dog killed, and it shall be
the duty of the Dog Constable to report to the County Commis-
sioners at the end of each week the number of licenses sold, and
to whom sold.
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
on the First day of June, 1927.

AN ACT to prevent the killing or trapping of foxes and the
selling, buying or exposing for sale of foxes and fox hides in
Kent County.
