Section 8. And be it enacted. That the said Water Board
shall have charge of the said waterworks so purchased and
shall operate same, with authority to employ and pay such
superintendent, engineers, workmen, laborers and employees as
may be necessary to carry on and maintain the same and sup-
ply said town and the inhabitants thereof with water, and shall
have authority to purchase material and supplies necessary to
operate same, and to make repairs and additions thereto as
necessity may require for fire protections and domestic use;
and to fix, charge and collect water rates or water rents for the
use of said water, and to make said water rent charges a lien on
the properties furnished water, and to adopt and provide rules
and regulations therefor, and for the proper protection of said
waterworks and water supply; and that each member of said
Water Board shall, before he enters upon the discharge of the
duties of his office, give bond in the penalty of one thousand
dollars.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted. That this Act shall take
effect from the 1st day of June, 1927.

CHAPTER 34.

AN ACT to repeal Section 91 of Article 15 of the Code of Pub-
lic Local Laws of Maryland, title "Kent County, " sub-title
"Dogs, " as enacted by Chapter 345 of the Acts of the General
Assembly of Maryland passed at the 1924 Session, and to re-
enact the same with amendments.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 91 of Article 15 of the Code of Public Local
Laws of Maryland, title, "Kent County, " sub-title "Dogs, " as
enacted by Chapter 345 of the Acts of the General Assembly of
Maryland passed at the 1924 Session, foe and the same is hereby
repealed and re-enacted with amendments so as to read as fol-
lows:

91. On or before the first day of July, 1927, and on or
before the first day of July of each year thereafter, the owner
of any dog, six months old or over, shall apply either orally or
in writing to the Dog Constable of the District, wherein such
