ALBERT C. RITCHIE, GOVERNOR, 53

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That it shall not be lawful to shoot, shoot at, trap, set a
trap for, injure or kill any fox in Kent County while such fox
is being pursued by dogs.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That it shall be unlawful
for any person to dig out, or in any manner to take f rum any
den a female fox, or her young whelps, or kill or in any manner
cause the death of such female fox, or her young whelps, during
the period of time in which she is suckling them.

SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That it shall be unlawful
to sell, buy or expose for sale any fox or fox hide in Kent
County, and it shall be unlawful to transport any fox or fox
hide from any place in Kent County to any place with-out Kent
County, and possession of any fox or fox hide shall be prima
facie evidence of a violation of this section, but nothing in this
Act shall be so construed as to prevent the killing of foxes at
any time by any person while they are in pursuit or in the
act of killing or carrying away of his, her or their poultry or
within a reasonable time thereafter.

SEC. 4. And be it further enacted, That any person or per-
sons violating the provisions of this Act shall be deemed guilty
of a misdemeanor, and upon conviction thereof before a Justice
of the Peace shall be fined in a sum not less than Ten Dollars
nor more than Twenty-five Dollars, one half of such fine shall
be paid to the informer causing the arrest and conviction and
the remaining one half shall be paid to the State Game Depart-
ment to be credited to the State Game Protection Fund to be
used as provided by law, and it shall be the duty of the several
Deputy State Game Wardens in Kent County to strictly enforce
the provisions of this Act.

SEC. 5. And be it further enacted, That all laws or parts of
laws applicable in Kent County inconsistent with the provisions
of this Act be and the same are hereby repealed.

SEC. 6. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect from the First day of June, 1927.

AN ACT to authorize and empower the Mayor and City Coun-
cil of Ocean City to issue and sell coupon bonds of said town
to the amount of thirty-five thousand dollars to provide a
fund for street improvements and extension and betterment
