all county taxation to the extent of the value of the lumber or
timber used in the construction of said building and grown on
the land of the owner.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted. That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1927.

CHAPTER 292.
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments Section
179 of Article 1 of the Code of Public Local Laws, title
"Allegany County, " sub-title "Justices of the Peace and
Constables, " said section as re-enacted to be known as Section
179-AA, with the object of reducing the number of Justices
of the Peace in Election Districts Number 11, 12, 19, 24, 26,
28, 30, and 32, in Allegany County, Maryland, to Two Jus-
tices of the Peace at Large, and providing a salary for said
Two Justices of the Peace at Large, and providing for the
increase in the jurisdiction of said Justices.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Section 179 of Article 1 of the Code of
Public Local Laws, title "Allegany County, " subtitle "Jus-
tices of the Peace and Constables, " be and the same is hereby
repealed and re-enacted with amendments to be known as
Section 179-AA, so as to read as follows:
Section 179-AA. There shall be appointed by the Governor
in the year 1927, subject to the confirmation of the Senate
of Maryland, and thereafter in accordance with law, Two Jus-
tices of the Peace and none other, for Election Districts Num-
bers 11, 12, 19, 24, 26, 28, 30, and 32, in Allegany County,
Maryland, said Two Justices of the Peace shall be Justices of
the Peace at Large for said Election Districts; each of said
Two Justices shall receive an annual salary of Twelve Hundred
Dollars, each, payable in monthly instalments of One Hundred
Dollars each, by the County Commissioners of Allegany Coun-
ty, Maryland, which said salary shall be in lieu of all fees in
criminal cases, all of which said fees in criminal cases shall be
payable to the County Treasurer for Allegany County, Mary-
