SECTION 1. Be& it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Sections 173 and 174 of Article 3 of the Pub-
lic Local Laws of Maryland (Offutt's 1916 Edition), title
"Baltimore County, " sub-title "Crier and Bailiffs, " be and the
same are hereby repealed and re-enacted with amendments t
read as follows:
173. The bailiffs of the Circuit Court for Baltimore County
shall be paid such salaries not in excess of One Hundred Dol-
lars ($100) per month as the County Commissioners of Bal-
timore County may from time to time determine.
174. The said salaries of said bailiffs as determined by
the County Commissioners of Baltimore County shall be due
and payable by them on the first Tuesday of each and every
month.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1927.

CHAPTER 291.
AN ACT to add a new section to Article 6 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland, title "Caroline County, "
sub-title "County Treasurer, " to be known as Section 68-G
and to follow immediately after Section 68-F of said Article,
as enacted by Chapter 211 of the Acts of 1892, exempting
for a period of five years farm buildings to the extent of the
value of the lumber or timber used in the construction of
said buildings and grown on the land of the owner.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That a new section be and it is hereby added to
Article 6 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland, title
"Caroline County, " sub-title "County Treasurer, " to be known
as Section 68-G, to follow immediately after Section 68-F of
said Article, as enacted by Chapter 211 of the Acts of 1892,
and to read as follows:
68-G. For a period of 5 years from the erection thereof,
every farm building in Caroline County shall be exempt from
