CHAPTER 288.

AN ACT to provide for the preparation of a Code of Public
Local Laws of Montgomery County.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the County Commissioners of Montgomery
County be and they are hereby authorized and empowered to
employ two members of the Montgomery County Bar to pre-
pare a Code of the. Public Local Laws of Montgomery County,
including the Acts passed at this Session for presentation and
legalization at the next session of the General Assembly of
Maryland, and to pay for such work such sum or sums as they
may in their discretion deem necessary, and provided that be-
fore the Code so prepared shall be presented to the General
Assembly, it shall first have been approved by a Committee of
members of the Bar of Montgomery County, which committee
shall be appointed by the Judges of the Sixth Judicial Circuit
of Maryland.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted. That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1927.

CHAPTER 289.

AN ACT to authorize the County Commissioners of Balti-
more County to construct water supplies, sewerage and
storm water drainage systems in the Baltimore County
Metropolitan District, in whole or in part, by contract or
by day labor, after advertisement, in their discretion, or
to construct such work in an amount not in excess of Twenty-
five Thousand Dollars ($25, 000) without advertising; and,
in their discretion, to levy annually against all taxable prop-
erty in said district, taxes for the payment of all or part
of the interest and sinking fund of the bonds issued, or to
be issued, by the County Commissioners, as provided in
Chapter 539 of the Acts of the General Assembly of 1924,
and to provide for the collection of said taxes.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That whenever plans and specifications for water
