CHAPTER 286.

AN ACT fixing the per diem of Jurors in Anne Arundel
County, and allowing the Jurors from certain portions of
Anne Arundel County the sum of One Dollar and fifty
cents each, per day, for the days they shall actually attend as
Jurors in Anne Arundel County, to cover their travelling
expenses.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That all jurors serving as such in the Circuit Court
for Anne Arundel County, shall be paid a per diem of Three
Dollars and fifty cents per day for each day they shall actually
attend as jurors in said court; and, in addition to this per diem,
all jurors in Anne Arundel County, not residing in Annapolis
City or the First and Third Precincts of the Second Election
District of Anne Arundel County, shall, be allowed One Dollar
and fifty cents per day for their travelling expenses, for each
day they shall actually attend as jurors in said Circuit Court.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That the County Com-
missioners of Anne Arundel County shall annually levy a sum
sufficient to pay the Jurors of Anne Arundel County as herein
provided.

SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect the Third Monday of October, 1927.

CHAPTER 287.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments Section 227
of Article 77 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1924
Edition), title "Public Education, " sub-title "Chapter 21.
School Attendance, " changing the time for taking the school
census in Baltimore City.
