SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That the Mayor and
City Council of Cumberland, and their successors in office,
shall have full power and authority over said Band and shall
have power and authority to make all rules and regulations
necessary for the conduct of said Band.
SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That the said Mayor and
City Council shall have, and they are hereby given, the power
and authority to include in the annual levy on the assessable
property in the City of Cumberland such amount as shall pro-
duce such yearly sum as the said Mayor and City Council shall
choose to appropriate in order to purchase music, supplies
and equipment for the said Band a; s the same may be required,
paying the members of said Band and for such other purposes
as the said Mayor and City Council may deem proper or requi-
site to carry out the purposes of this Act.
SEC. 4. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1st, 1927.

CHAPTER 285.
AN ACT to authorize and direct the County Commissioners
of Charles County, Maryland, to refund to S. I. and J. O.
Quade, or either of them, the sum of twenty-four dollars
and ninety-six cents ($24. 96), paid in error by them for
the levy of 1924, into the County Treasury, as County
taxes, and make levy for the same.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the County Commissioners of Charles Coun-
ty, Maryland, be and they are hereby authorized and directed
to refund to S. I. and J. O. Quade, or either of them, the
sum of twenty-four dollars and ninety-six cents ($24. 96),
paid in error by them for the levy of 1924, into the County
Treasury, as County taxes, and the said County Commis-
sioners are hereby directed to levy in the next succeeding
levy for taxes, a sum sufficient to pay said S. I. and J. O.
Quade the above-mentioned amount.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1927.
