vide for the payment of the money borrowed and the inter-
est thereon; in three payments, the first payment to be for
ten thousand dollars with accrued interest and to be made in
the year 1927; the second payment to be for ten thousand dol-
lars with accrued interest arid to be made in the year 1928;
and the third payment to be for twelve thousand dollars with
accrued interest and to be made in the year 1929, and to levy
and collect all necessary taxes for said payments in the years
above specified, namely, 1927, 1928 and 1929, respectively.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act is hereby
declared to be an Emergency Law and necessary for the im-
mediate preservation of the public health and safety, and be-
ing passed by a yea and nay vote supported by three fifths of
the members elected to each of the two Houses of the Gen-
eral Assembly, the same shall take effect from the date of
its passage.

CHAPTER 29.
AN ACT to exempt from State taxation the Real and Personal
property of The Loats Female Orphan Asylum of Frederick
City, in the County of Frederick so long as it is used for
Asylum and School purposes.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments, Section 243
of Melvin's Code of Public Local Laws for Anne Arundel
County (1914) entitled "Germantown and Vicinity, " as the
same was enacted, by Chapter 558 of the Acts of 1906.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Section 243 of Melvin's Code of Public Local
Laws for Anne Arundel County, (1914) entitled "German-
town and Vicinity, " as the same was enacted by Chapter 558
of the Acts of 1906.
SEC. 243. The policeman so appointed shall be paid one
