tioned in Section 39-C of this Act, provided the amount in
the said Pension Fund is inadequate.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, By the authority afore-
said that the Police Department of the City of Annapolis shall
come under the provisions of this Act, and all members of
such Police Department, at the time of the passage of this
Act, shall continue as members, but shall be subject to all other
provisions of the same.

SEC. 3. And be it further enacted. By the authority afore-
said, that all General or Local Laws, or parts of such, incon-
sistent with the provisions of this Act, shall be, and are hereby
repealed.

CHAPTER 28.

AN ACT to authorize and empower the County Commissioners
of Frederick County to borrow money on the credit of said
County, not exceeding: thirty-two thousand dollars to pay for
repairs made to roads and bridges damaged by floods in said
County during the Month of October in the year 1926, and to
issue the obligation of said County therefor, and to provide
for the payment of the money authorized to be borrowed by
this Act, together with the interest thereon.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That it shall and may be lawful for the County Com-
missioners of Frederick County to borrow on the faith and
credit of Frederick County, a sufficient sum of money, not ex-
ceeding, however, the sum of thirty-two thousand dollars, to
pay for repairs made to roads and bridges in Frederick County
damaged by floods in said County during the month of October,
1926, and which repairs for the health, convenience and safety
of the public had to be made at the very earliest moment, and
which have not been paid for because there were no avail-
able funds for the purpose, with full power to issue the promis-
sory note, notes, or obligations of the County under its seal
and signed by the President and Clerk respectively of the
Board of County Commissioners of Frederick County, for the
amount authorized to be borrowed by this Act; and to pro-
