CHAPTER 265.
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments Section 90
of Article 6 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland,
title "Caroline County, " sub-title "Denton, " as the same
was repealed and re-enacted with amendments by Chapter
692 of the Acts of the General Assembly of Maryland for
1916, authorizing Commissioners of Denton to borrow money
on the credit of said town.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Section 90 of Article 6 of the Code of Public
Local Laws of Maryland, title "Caroline County, " sub-title
"Denton, " as the same was enacted by Chapter 692 of the
Acts of the General Assembly of Maryland for 1916, be and the
same is hereby repealed and re-enacted with amendments, to
read as follows:
90. And be it further enacted, That the said Commissioners
may, whenever they deem it necessary, borrow money on the
credit of said town, by note or otherwise, any amount they may
deem necessary, provided that said indebtedness, thus created,
shall not exceed at any time the sum of Eighteen Thousand
Dollars,
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act is hereby
declared to be an emergency law and necessary for the imme-
diate preservation of the public health and safety, and having
been passed by a yea and nay vote, supported by three-fifths of
all the members elected to each of the two Houses of the Gen-
eral Assembly, the same shall take effect from the date of its
passage.

CHAPTER 266.
AN ACT to repeal Sections 144, 155 and 15, 9 of Article 7
of the Code of Public Local Laws of the State of Maryland,
title "Carroll County, " sub-title "Taneytown, " Section 155
having been amended by Chapter 240 of the Acts of 1920,
and to re-enact said sections in an amended or different
form, extending the limits of said town, permitting said
town to borrow $10, 000, and providing for the appointment
of a Tax Collector.
