Section 336. That the County Commissioner's of Anne
Arundel County shall pay to the State's Attorney of said Coun-
ty, an annual salary of twenty-five hundred ($2, 500) dollars,
payable monthly; and it shall be unlawful for the said State's
Attorney to receive, or the County Commissioners to pay him,
any other or further compensation, salary, or fee of any kind
whatsoever, except as hereinafter provided.
Section 337. That the County Commissioners are hereby
directed to allow the State's Attorney, for his office expenses,
an amount not to exceed twelve hundred ($1, 200) dollars per
year; and shall require of the State's Attorney an itemized
statement of his expenses under oath before paying the same,
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted. That this Act is one of
emergency and necessary for the immediate preservation of the
public safety, and shall take effect from date of its passage.

CHAPTER 27.
AN ACT to add four new sections to Article 2 of the Code of
Public Local Laws, title "Anne Arundel County, " sub-title
"Annapolis, " to be known as Sections 39-A, 39-B, 39-C and
39-D, to follow immediately after Section 39 of said Article,
for the purpose of making appointments in the Police and
Fire Departments of Annapolis, and providing for the
creation of a Pension Fund for the members of said Depart-
ments.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That four new sections be added to Article 2 of the
Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland, title "Anne Arundel
County, " sub-title "Annapolis, " to follow immediately after
Section 9 of said Article, and to read as follows:
Section 39-A. The Mayor, Counselor and Aldermen of the
City of Annapolis at its regular meeting during; the month of
July in each and every year shall elect from its members a
Committee of not more than three members, which shall pre-
pare and submit to the said Mayor, Counselor and Aldermen
