SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Chapter 52 of the Acts of the General Assem-
bly of Maryland of 1920, entitled "An Act to create a Street
Planning Commission for Baltimore County to fix the powers,
duties and compensation thereof, " be and the same is hereby
repealed.

Approved March 11, 1927.

CHAPTER 26.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments Sections
336 and 337 of the Public Local Laws for Anne Arundel
County, title "State's Attorney, " as the same were enacted
by Sections 336 and 337 of Chapter 131 of the Acts of 1924;
providing for salary and office expenses of the State's Attor-
ney.

WHEREAS, The work and time required of the State's Attor-
ney for Anne Arundel County, in the performance of his
duties, both in court and in his office, has increased from three
to four fold during the past few years, and will increase as
time goes on, on account of the growth of the population; and

WHEREAS, The State's Attorney for said county has been
required to pay out of his salary, office rent, clerical help and
other expenses, leaving him from said salary a very small com-
pensation for the services rendered; and

WHEREAS, The State's Attorney is often times embarrassed
for want of authority to employ, special assistance in the in-
vestigation of crime committed in the county, that cannot be
properly investigated by the local authorities; therefore

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Sections 336 and 337 of the Public Local
Laws for Anne Arundel County, as the same was enacted by
Sections 336 and 337 of Chapter 131 of the Acts of 1924, pro-
viding for salary and office expenses of the State's Attorney
for Anne Arundel County, be and the same are hereby repealed
and re-enacted with amendments to read as follows:
