additional polling places in each such election precinct or dis-
trict, and whenever the Board of Supervisors of Elections of
Wicomico County shall designate an additional polling place or
places in any election precinct, they shall appoint judges and
clerks of election therefor as in this Article provided, who shall
have all the powers, perform all the duties, be subject to all the
responsibilities and be liable to all the penalties prescribed in
this Article for judges and clerks of election. Whenever in
Wicomico County an additional polling place or places are pro-
vided for any such election precinct, or election district, it shall
be the duty of the Board of Supervisors of Election of Wicomico
County to cause an additional set or sets of books to be prepared,
containing the names of registered voters, transcribed from the
original books. Said sets of books shall contain the names of
voters with such division and classification of the first letters
of the surnames of voters, among the several sets of books, as
shall in the discretion of the Board of Supervisors of Wicomico
County most expeditiously and evenly divide the total number
of voters for such election precinct or election district among
the polling places provided therefor. One set of books shall be
used in each of the polling places designated as provided for in
this section. All the members of the Board of Supervisors of
Elections of Wicomico County shall sign their names to the
books which contain the names copied from the original books for
such polling places, in the hands of said Supervisors and shall
duly certify that said sets of books, so copied, contain all the
names of the persons entitled to vote in such election precinct
or district, such said certificate shall appear on the blank line
next following the last name in each letter of the alphabetical
list of names in the new books so transcribed, and such said cer-
tification shall be attested by the Clerk of said Board of Super-
visors. The law with regards to notice of the location of polling
places shall apply to those established under the provisions of
this section. It shall be the duty of said Board of Supervisors
to locate the polling places in any one precinct as close together
as possible, so as to minimize any inconvenience to voters,

CHAPTER 229.

AN ACT to add four new additional sections to Offutt's Re-
vised Code of Public Local Laws of Baltimore County, 1916,
to follow Section 194, to be known as Sections 194-A, 194-B,
194-C, and 194-D, changing the boundary lines between the
Eighth and Ninth Districts of Baltimore County and pro-
viding for the establishment of precincts therein.
