County, Maryland, codified by Marion Duckett and Thomas
Van Clagett, be and the same is hereby amended by adding
thereto a new section to be known as Section 323-A, to read as
follows:
Section 323-A A copy of any ordinance or record of the
Mayor and Common Council of Hyattsville, certified by its
clerk under its seal to be a true copy and the whole of such
ordinance or record, shall be received in all Courts as pre-
sumptive legal evidence of the facts therein stated.

CHAPTER 163.
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section
313 of the Code of Local Laws of Prince George's County,
Maryland, codified by Marion Duckett and Thomas Van
Clagett, as amended by Chapter 364 of the Laws of 1922,
increasing the amount which may be borrowed for sidewalk,
curb, gutter, roadbed and street improvements by the Mayor
and Common Council of Hyattsville from fifty thousand
dollars to one hundred thousand dollars.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Section 313 of the Code of Local Laws of
Prince George's County, Maryland, codified by Marion Duckett
and Thomas Van Clagett, as amended by Chapter 364 of the
Laws of Maryland, 1922, be and the same is hereby repealed
and re-enacted, with amendments, so as to read as follows:
Section 313. To effectuate the improvements named in the
preceding section, the Mayor and Common Council of Hyatts-
ville are hereby authorized and empowered to borrow from
time to time, on the credit of the town, a sum or sums of
money, which shall not, however, in the aggregate at any one
time exceed one hundred thousand dollars in amount; and
to issue certificates of indebtedness therefor, which shall be
payable within two years from the date of issuance, with
interest not to exceed the rate of six per cent, per annum pay-
able quarterly; and the treasurer of said town is charged with
the custody of any moneys received from the issues of sale of
said certificates of indebtedness as above mentioned and with
the prompt collection and safe keeping of the moneys arising
