CHAPTER 157.

AN ACT to authorize and direct the Police Commissioner of
Baltimore City to pay a pension to Wm. J. McDonald, a
former member of the Police Department of said City.

(Vetoed. )

CHAPTER 158.

AN ACT to add a new section to Article 56 of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1924 Edition), title "Licenses, " sub-
title "Motor Vehicles, " said new section to be known as
Section 183-A and to follow immediately after Section 183
of said Article, authorizing and directing the Commissioner
of Motor Vehicles to refuse to issue or transfer any marker,
certificate of registration or title for any motor vehicle
owned in Wicomico County, unless taxes in arrears thereon
have been paid.

(Vetoed. )

CHAPTER 159.

AN ACT to authorize and empower the County Commissioners
of Anne Arundel County to borrow upon the faith and credit
of said County a sum not to exceed One Million Dollars,
and to issue and sell coupon bonds therefor and to pay over
the proceeds thereof to the State Roads Commission to be
used and expended by said Commission for the purpose of
reconstructing and improving the public roads of said Coun-
ty, and providing for the payment of said bonds and the
interest thereon by a general tax levy on all the property in
the County with the further provision that insofar as it may
be practicable, said taxes are to be levied and collected in the
respective Election Districts of the County in the proportion
which the amounts spent for road improvement in said re-
spective Districts bear to the total amounts derived from
the sale of said bonds spent in the County.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the County Commissioners of Anne Arundel County
