are hereby authorized and empowered to borrow money on the
faith, and credit of said County and to issue and sell coupon
bonds therefor for an amount not to exceed One Million Dollars
in such denominations and to bear such rate of interest, not
exceeding five per centum (5%) per annum, as may be deter-
mined by the said County Commissioners of Anne Arundel
County. Said bonds shall be dated as of the first day of July
of the year in which the same shall be issued as hereinafter
provided, and the interest thereon shall be payable semi-annu-
ally on the first days of January and July in each and every
year until said bonds are paid; said bonds, when issued, shall
be signed by the President of the said County Commissioners
of Anne Arundel County and shall be countersigned by the
clerk to said Commissioners; the seal of said County Commis-
sioners of Anne Arundel County shall be affixed to each bond,
and the interest coupons thereto attached shall bear the facsim-
ile signature of the Treasurer of said County, printed, lithog-
raphed or engraved thereon.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That said bonds shall be
dated and issued in series, each, series to bear a different series
letter, viz: Series "A'' three hundred thousand dollars ($300, -
000. 00), dated July 1, 1927; Series "B" four hundred thou-
sand dollars ($400, 000. 00), dated July 1, 1928; and Series "C"
three hundred thousand dollars ($300, 000. 00), dated July 1,
1929. Five per cent (5%) of the amount of each series of bonds
shall mature and be payable annually, beginning July first of
the year after the date of issue of each series until and includ-
ing July first of the nineteenth year after such date of issue,
when the remaining ten per cent (10%) of each series respect-
ively shall mature and be paid so that the aggregate amount of
. said bonds to mature and be paid in each year shall be as follows:
