1658 JOINT RESOLUTIONS.
WHEREAS, There are numerous laws of the State that are
obsolete, superfluous and useless, or have ceased to have any
appreciable effect or influence on existing rights; and
WHEREAS, It is desirable to have a careful examination
made of the laws with the view of eliminating such obsolete
and useless laws; therefore
Be it Resolved by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
the Governor of Maryland be and he is hereby requested and
authorized to appoint a commission of three persons to make
an investigation of all the Public General Laws of the State
with a view to recommending to the Governor and General
Assembly of the State those laws which, in the opinion of the
commission, are obsolete, superfluous or useless and ought to
be repealed; and be it further
Resolved, That said commission shall submit its report
with recommendations to the Governor and General Assembly
of Maryland not later than January 15, 1929.

NO. 25.
A Joint Resolution authorizing and requesting the State Roads
Commission to erect archways at the Baltimore City Line on
certain highways leading into said city.
WHEREAS, No adequate marking of the entrance into the
City of Baltimore exists at present on the principal highways
leading into said city; therefore be it
Resolved by the General Assembly of Maryland, That the
State Roads Commission be and it is hereby authorized and
required to erect an archway, with appropriate signs and deco-
rations, illuminated at night, indicating the Baltimore City
Line, at each of the following points: The points where the
Washington Boulevard, the Frederick Road, the York Road,
the Belair Road and the Ritchie Highway cross the said City
Line.
