NO. 23.
A Resolution of the Senate of Maryland expressing thanks to
the Cities of Cumberland and Hagerstown, the Frostburg
State Normal School, the Kelly-Springfield Tire Company,
the Consolidation Coal Company, the American Cellulose
Company, the Cumberland Chamber of Commerce and the
Baltimore and Ohio Railroad Company.
WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of Maryland visited
Western Maryland during the past week-end at the invitation
of the Cities of Cumberland and Hagerstown; and
WHEREAS, the members of said Senate were welcomed and
entertained by the Cities of Cumberland and Hagerstown, the
Frostburg State Normal School, the Kelly-Springfield Tire
Company, the Consolidation Coal Company, the American
Cellulose Company, the Cumberland Chamber of Commerce
and the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad Company; and
WHEREAS, The members of said Senate desire to express
their deepest gratitude for the hospitality extended to them;
therefore be it
Resolved by the Senate of Maryland, That the thanks of
the said Senate be and the same are hereby expressed to the
officials, civic organizations and citizens of the Cities of Cum-
berland and Hagerstown, and to the officials and members
of the faculty of the Frostburg State Normal School, and to
the officials of the Kelly-Springfield Tire Company, the Con-
solidation Coal Company, the American Cellulose Company,
the Cumberland Chamber of Commerce and the Baltimore and
Ohio Railroad Company; and be it further
Resolved, That these resolutions be printed in the Journal.

A Joint Resolution requesting and authorizing the Governor
of Maryland to appoint a Commission to examine the laws
of the state and report as to those which are obsolete and
useless.
