SEC. 6. And be it further enacted, That said Corporation
shall have power and authority to bind out, apprentice or place
in suitable families, for a limited time or until such child or
children shall 'arrive at the age of 21 years, any child or children
committed or otherwise entrusted to its care and control, pro-
vided that if any such child is apprenticed or bound out, the
same shall be done in conformity to the laws of the State of
Maryland, relating thereto.
SEC. 7. And be it further enacted, That all of said children
committed or entrusted, and under the control of said Corpo-
ration, of school age, and residing in Garrett County, shall be
entitled to the privilege of attending the public schools of said
County, and it shall be the duty of the said Corporation, and its
respective officers and agents, to see that all such children at-
tend such public schools, or some other school of like advantages,,
the number of days each year, while under its care and control,
as is required of other children of like age, by the school laws
of the State of Maryland.
SEC. 8. And be it further enacted, That said Corporation,
through its respective officers and agents, shall keep in touch
with any and all children bound out, apprenticed or otherwise
placed in suitable homes or families, by it, and see that such
children are properly treated and instructed, and are receiving
the advantages of a common school education, and shall at all
times, during the term that said child or children is or are en-
trusted to its care, to retain and exercise a supervisory control
over said children.
SEC. 9. And be it further enacted, That said Corporation
shall have no capital stock, it being its purpose to depend upon
free-will offerings, donations, bequests and gifts for its main-
tenance and support.
SEC. 10. And be it further enacted, That said Corporation
shall have the power and authority to accept and receive gifts,
donations, bequests, legacies and other contributions for its sup-
port and maintenance.
SEC. 11. And be it further enacted, That all property of
said Corporation, real, personal and mixed, shall be exempt from
State, County and municipal taxation, to the same extent as other
charitable and benevolent institutions of this State are exempt
under the laws thereof.
SEC. 12. And be it further enacted, That said Corporation
shall have power and authority to make and adopt all such rules,
