their judgment may be required.

SEC. 5. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1927.

CHAPTER 626.

AN ACT to authorize and empower the Town Commissioners
of Queenstown, Queen Anne's County, to borrow money on
the credit of the town for the purpose of rebuilding the
Electric Line from Centreville to Queenstown, and for put-
ting in a third wire on said line, to issue bonds for the pay-
ment of the same and to levy taxes on the assessable prop-
erty of the said town to redeem said bonds and to pay the
interest thereon.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the Town Commissioners of Queenstown, Queen
Anne's County, be and they are hereby authorized and empow-
ered to borrow money on the credit of the town for the pur-
pose of rebuilding the Electric Line, which supplies said town
with current, from Centreville to Queenstown, and for put-
ting a third wire in said line; and for the purpose of paying
for said rebuilding and adding to the Electric Line as afore-
said, the said Town Commissioners are hereby authorized to
borrow on the credit of the town such sum! or sums of money
as may be necessary, not exceeding in all the sum of Four
Thousand Dollars ($4, 000. ), and to issue and sell bonds or
coupon bonds therefor, in sums of not less than One Hundred
Dollars ($100. ), nor more than Five Hundred Dollars ($500. ),
to be signed by the President of the Board of said Commis-
sioners, and to be countersigned by the Secretary to the said
Board, and for the corporate seal of said Board of Commis-
sioners to be affixed thereto, bearing interest not exceeding
six per centum per annum, payable semi-annually on the first
day of July and the first day of January, in each year after
their issue and until the same are paid; provided that said
bonds shall not be disposed of by the said Board of Commis-
sioners for less than their par value.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That the said Town Com-
missioners are hereby authorized and empowered to levy an-
