CHAPTER 600.
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments Sections
225, 231, 236, 237, 238, 240, 241, 241-A, 241-B and 241-G
of Article 22 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland
(1910 Edition), title "Washington County, " sub-title "Han-
cock, " Section 225 having been amended by Chapter 233 of
1914 and Section 231 by Chapter 207 of 1924, and to add
two new sections to said Article, to be known as Sections
241-Q and 241-R, said amendments and new sections relat-
ing to the election of certain town officers, fixing the com-
pensation of the Burgess and other officers, relating to the
appointment, qualifications and duties of the Treasurer, the
policing of the town, the appointment of Police Justice, the
regulation of nuisances, the licensing and regulating of cer-
tain occupations, the use of the sidewalk or streets, the bor-
rowing of money for emergency purposes, the fixing of water
rents, and to amend the Charter of the town of Hancock
generally.

CHAPTER 607.
AN ACT to add an additional Section to Article 77 of the
Annotated Code of Maryland (1924 Edition), title "Public
Education, " sub-title "County Board of Education, " to be
known as Section 59-A and to follow immediately after Sec-
tion 59 providing for detailed itemized accounts of the
receipts and expenditures of school moneys to the County
Commissioners of Washington County.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That an additional section be and the same is hereby
added to Article 77 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1924
Edition) title "Public Education, " sub-title "County Board
of Education, " to be known as Section 59-A and to follow imme-
diately after Section 59 and to read as follows:
SEC. 59-A. The County Board of Education of Washington
County shall cause to be prepared and published annually, in
the month of October, sufficient quantities for distribution among
the citizens of the County, an annual report addressed to the peo-
