ple of the County, covering the condition, current accomplish-
ments and needs for the improvement of the schools, also a state-
ment of the business and financial transactions of the Board. The
said Board shall also cause to be prepared in October each year
for the County Commissioners of said County a detailed, item-
ized statement of all receipts and expenditures of said Board
for the year preceding.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted. That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1927.

CHAPTER 608.
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments Section '577'
of Article 27 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1924
Edition), title "Crimes and Punishments, " sub-title "Sen-
tence, " providing for right of appeal in criminal cases where
sentence has been suspended.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 577 of Article 27 of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1924 Edition) title "Crimes and Punishments" sub-
title "Sentence" be and the same is hereby repealed and re-
enacted with amendments so as to reads as follows:
'' The courts may suspend sentence generally or for a definite
time, and may make such orders and impose such terms as to
costs, recognizance for appearance, or matters relating to the
residence or conduct of the convicts as may be deemed proper;
and if the convict is a minor, the courts may also make such
orders as to his detention in any care or custody as may be
deemed proper. ''
In all cases where sentence has been suspended by the Court,
the defendant shall have the right to appeal to the Court of
Appeals in the same manner as if sentence or judgment had
been entered in said case.
