1232 LAWS OF MARYLAND. [CH. 601

CHAPTER 599.

AN ACT to authorize and direct the Clerk of the Court and
the Justices of the Peace of Queen Anne's County to pay to
the County Treasurer all fines unclaimed by informers.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the Clerk of the Court of Queen Anne's County and
the Justices of the Peace of said County be and they are hereby
authorized and directed to pay to the County Treasurer of said
County all fines in his or their possession, respectively, and
which are unclaimed by the informers. The unclaimed fines
thus paid to the County Treasurer shall be credited to the gen-
eral funds of Queen Anne's County.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
'effect June 1, 1927.

CHAPTER 600.

AN ACT to amend Article 27 of the Annotated Code of Mary-
land (1924 Edition), title "Crimes and Punishments, " sub-
title "III, Places of Reformation and Punishments, " by
adding one new section to follow immediately after Section
663 and to be known as Section 663-A, so as to provide that
no person or persons shall be eligible for appointment or
employment in any penal institution under the jurisdiction
of the Board of Welfare unless said person or persons at the
time of their employment or appointment shall be citizens
of the United States and legally qualified voters and regis-
tered as such in the State of Maryland.

CHAPTER 601.

AN ACT to prohibit the establishment and/or operation of
certain classes of business giving off noxious odors or gases
within a radius of three miles of Lansdowne station on the
Baltimore and Ohio Railroad in Baltimore County.
