CHAPTER 551.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Sections
251, 252, 253 and 255 of Article 56 of the Annotated Code
of Maryland, Edition of 1924, title "Licenses, " sub-title
"Public Passenger Motor Vehicles, " to revise the annual
charges for registration; to subject to the provisions of said
sub-title 'ail motor vehicles operating1 for hire on regular
schedules or between fixed termini, with certain exceptions;
to revise the regulations relating to schedules and routes, and
to add a new section to said Article and sub-title, to be known
as Section 257-A, and to follow immediately after Section
257, so as to make the several provisions of said sub-title
independent and severable.

CHAPTER 552.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section
27 of Article 101 of the Code of Public General Laws of
Maryland, Edition of 1924, title "Compensation, " sub-title
"State Accident Fund, " pertaining to administrative ex-
penses.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Section 27 of Article 101 of the Code of Pub-
lic General Laws of Maryland, Edition of 1924, title "Com-

pensation, " be, and the same is hereby repealed and re-enacted,
with amendments, so as to read as follows:

27. The entire expense of conducting and administering
the State Accident Fund, as likewise all other expenses of the
State Industrial Accident Commission, shall be paid in the
first instance by the State out of the monies appropriated for
the maintenance of the State Industrial Accident Commis-
sion and the payment of the salaries and expenses of said
Commission and its officers and employees. In the month of
January, nineteen hundred and eighteen, and annually there-
after in such month the Commission shall ascertain the just
expense incurred by the Commission during the preceding
calendar year, in conducting and in the administration of the
